Luffy, Natsu and Naruto

The task was to draw 3 characters from each of the following animes: One Piece, Fairy Tail and Naruto. I drew the main characters from each anime, and in addition, I drew them all in their ultimate forms; "Nightmare", "Dragon Force" and "Biju".

Harmonizing the characters is important, especially since they're all very different. What I did was to use color as the main tool. I colored Luffy, Natsu and Naruto and their backgrounds in a specific way, so that they would supplement each other somehow. Study the characters and backgrounds! Comment below and explain which technique you think I used!
